Why am I running for City Council?

       "Making Life Simple Again"

Government at all levels has gotten too involved in our lives.

Those who seek to pass many of  these laws think they are doing

us a favor, from their point of view.    My basic thought on

passing a laws is:   " It is Governments job to us protect us

    from others, not from ourselves.

It is not the function of Government to keep the citizens from falling into error;  it is the function of the citizen to keep the Government from falling into error.   - Robert H. Jackson, US Supreme Court

Biography

Born: Baltimore, MD

Most of my early years were spent in the foster care system as my mother was deemed unfit to be a parent.  Although I grew up with "other" families I was able to take some very valuable lessons from each of these people to formulate the morals of which I live by and have raised my family with.

I graduated high school in 1981 and had already signed an intention letter for a delayed enlistment in the U.S. Air Force.  During my time in the military I served in Korea and Florida.  I received an honorable discharge and moved to California.

Although I have never attained a graduate degree from any recognised university, I have been astute at apply principles to the manner in which I live.  I don't live beyond my means and I would never ask anyone else to do something I wouldn't do.  I have always believed that we need some sort of government but not one that has so much power and authority that it controls our daily lives. Through it all I have learned much which can and will benefit me as your next city councilman.
